There is all this talk of creating high tech that will one day challenge the status quo.

But take the motor car as an example – we can never truly claim we live in the developed world or society until we have come up with an idea; a very good idea, on what to do about the pleasure car.

Granted, the car is great – fast, reliable, economical, and for those who have the means to afford the best ones – very comfortable.

Yet, the motor car exemplifies everything that is wrong with our industrialisation and development.

Therefore - instead of making Disruptive Technology the key topic, we should probably adjust the agenda - because - pollution deserves to be the number one topic for the tech savvy.
